Really enjoyed the tranquility, beautiful scenery and abundance of birds.
Our Golden Retriever especially enjoyed swimming in the dam and going for walks with us around the farm.
Enjoyed our walks around the farm and the log fires. Kitchen well equipped for a number of adults to all help with the preparation of the meals. Hot water was an issue due to loadshedding so maybe a gas geyser would be a good addition.
Everything is as in the photos. Cottage is clean and well-appointed (shower has no water pressure but is hot). The farm roads are a little muddy after all the rain but it is not far from the main road. Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you for having us.
All I have to suggest is that the towels could be improved. Everything else is 11/10!

Very spacious! Wifi not working and situated in a "hole " where cellphone reception was extremely poor. A map of the farm with walks would've been useful.
We loved our stay and our 20-month-old grandson had such fun.
Had we know the bird life was so incredible we would have taken binoculars!
We have stayed at Galileo's before and really enjoyed it, but this time we found the house dirty and untidy. The kitchen was full of food everywhere, the microwave was full of sticky milk mess, the fridge was dirty inside and out and the whole house is full of dust. Window sills are thick with dust and we swept up a whole shovel full of dust from the back room floor. Smeared walls in rooms and mold on the walls and roofs. Spiders everywhere in the roofs, you can see the house has not been cleaned for a long time. The grass of the garden was not cut and very neglected. The outdoor furniture and tables were not wiped down and full of sticky ring marks from previous people. We are very disappointed.
Affordable and quaint. While you can occasionally hear the road from the cottage we stayed at, it's not disruptive and you can't see it. Our baby loved the horses and dogs. The views are amazing. And birds everywhere.
Good sized home with all you need for a good self-catering stay. We explored the farm and met some friendly animals too. We had a good Christmas weekend in a home that is surrounded by God's beautiful natural creations.
The accommodation met our requirements, arrangements were effective and prompt.
We stayed at Galileo during our W2W participation and it was absolutely wonderful. It is conveniently located close to the Race Village and was perfect for the purpose.
Could really do with a lick of paint and a few sharp knives at that cost per night.
It is a beautiful cottage by the dam. The main road is a little bit noisy, but overall it was very nice.
The host was very responsive and accommodating. Absolutely loved the place. A hot tub would have been the cherry on top, but all in all, a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed walks amongst the horses at the stables and around the farm. The house is set under a large oak tree with acorns falling on the roof - not ideal for babies and toddlers sleeping. It is also right next to a main road which you do not realize from the pictures on add. The house could also do with a thorough clean. Water from taps are brown - we were unsure wether we could drink it and had to rush to the nearest shop to by 20 litres of drinking water for the weekend - this should be mentioned in the description.

By far the best getaway place ever!
My partner and I only had 2 days off to get out of town to celebrate our anniversary. This was the perfect place. Its calm and quiet and absolutely beautiful. We wanted to do some fishing and just had to walk a few meters to do so. A short drive to Peregrines Farm stall where we went and had a lovely breakfast. Managed to wind down, relax and spend quality time together, which is exactly what we wanted.
It was a lovely weekend with lots of birds, good weather and the accommodation was very well kitted out. Would definitely recommend. Only that bed is a bit hard.
